BWSAR was formed in 2016 to help Broads users and residents to enjoy the Broads navigation area and Broads countryside and rural areas in safety by receiving and disseminating information to and from the appropriate organisations including Police Broads Beat, EA, RNLI, Coastguard, BA, Met Office, Councils and Trading standards for such incidents as polluted water, water safety problems, debris, boat incidents, suspicious circumstances, posting crime bulletins from Norfolk Police, weather reports, flood warnings, scam alerts and more.
