Bridge Rd Summary of usage
As you may be aware we have had our SAM2 unit mostly in Bridge Road which you may not know is designated C536
A term for a classified unnumbered road, in fact not listed in any maps including osmaps and google maps. It is was interesting to note that during the past 4 weeks there was a vehicle count of over 29,675 vehicles per month, this is not an accurate figure as SAM2 rests every 5 seconds so 2 or 3 vehicles with in the 5 seconds is only reported as one.
There was a meeting in Bridge Road with Norfolk traffic Management Officer Jack Askew, PC Tom Gibbs, and Cllrs Price & Standen to discuss possible and viable traffic calming systems. A Further meeting to be arranged with Justin Lemay Norfolk Highways Officer.
It is hoped that proposals for financing will be put to the PHPC on 16th February. If you have any ideas please email potterheighamvillage@gmail.com

Location 6, between 1st Jan and 8th Jan 2022
Vehicle count this period 7680

The Sam 2 unit was positioned 30' from Felgate Pub entrance. Stopping distance for a car between 174' & 240' so no chance of stopping if someone were to come out of the pub at the same time
